How this reference works

The Wool Duvet

Method

Nothing here has been slept under for a season or weighed on anything. Figures come from published sources, linked where used, or from counts of what sellers and standards state.

Which figures belong to somebody else?

Tog, thermal resistance and dust-mite behaviour, all of which need laboratory conditions to establish at all.

They are quoted with the source named. Reproducing that kind of work outside a laboratory is not possible, and pretending otherwise would be worse than saying nothing.

What does this site add?

A count and an arrangement: a stated number of sources read on a stated day, sorted so the pattern in them is visible.

The pattern is often the finding. What everybody states, and what nobody states, is worth knowing and costs only the reading.

What gets corrected?

A superseded test, a page altered since it was counted, or a reader who shows the sorting was wrong.

The fix is written into the sentence that needs it and the review date at the foot changes.
